9 months old

We had our 9 month check up for Josie at the doctor's office yesterday. She is growing well and is around the 50th percentile for head, height and weight measurements. We got the go ahead to try finger foods, so Josie had cut up chicken and noodles for dinner. We also got the go ahead on all dairy (full fat) except for cow's milk (we have to wait until she is one year old), so she tried yogurt for the first time yesterday too. Josie was very excited about all of her new foods!

Josie's first finger foods - chicken and pasta!

Ryan and I also took Josie to the drive in to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World and Inception a couple of weeks ago. Josie enjoyed playing in the car during the first feature and fell asleep in her car seat for the second feature (after a brief rocking session outside of the car).

We took a funny video of Josie playing while "watching" Sesame Street. She doesn't sit and watch tv, but she will sit still long enough to see Elmo...her favorite!

Also, here is a cute one of her blowing bubbles in her cereal.

Baptism

Josephine was baptized this Sunday August 1. We were so happy to have my brother, Michael, and Ryan's sister, Erin, as Godparents. Michael flew out from NC with my parents and my Grandma Gallagher for the weekend. Ryan's Grandma Ellie was also in town, so we had a lot of family here to celebrate!

We had so much fun. The baptism went great, and Josie was a trooper with the oil and water that were poured on her. We had bbq and cake at our house, and Josie got her first tiny taste of cake.

The weekend went by so fast, but we got some good pictures to commemorate the occasion.

Inchworm

On Friday July 23 (Ryan's birthday), Josie decided to learn a new trick to show Daddy for his birthday...she started scooting/"crawling!" She looks like a little inchworm, and she is now officially mobile. She likes to chase Humphrey and try to put her fingers in his food and water dishes.

Let the baby-proofing of our house begin!

Below is a video of the first time Josie "crawled."
