Ryan and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary today. Good thing we planned on cooking a nice dinner in tonight because Denver got a good amount of snow for the first time this fall/winter.
We took Josie outside to "play" in the snow, but since the temperatures are below freezing she didn't want to be outside for too long.

December celebrations!
December has FLOWN by! At the end of November, we celebrated Thanksgiving and Josie's birthday with my family/The Lindsays. Josie got another taste of cake, and she LOVED it!
On my birthday (the Saturday after Thanksgiving), Josie ended up getting a pretty bad cold so we had to visit a Dr in NC...not the best birthday present for me. Josie has been sick a few times over the past couple of months, so traveling with a sick baby was not ideal but she was a trooper! She is recovering well, and we are hoping for no more ear infections!!
Then, we traveled back to NC 2 weeks later for Tommy and Laura's wedding (beautiful and so fun!). Josie finally got to meet her new friend CeCe Springett. They had better get ready for lots of fun on future trips to NC!
Then Christmas snuck up on us so fast! Josie has loved having the Christmas tree and lights up. She loves to stare at them (and touch them...and try to pull down ornaments...).
We had a wonderful Christmas. Josie loved waking up to presents from Santa under the tree, even though she probably has another year or so before she really knows who Santa is (or actually likes him). Below are some pictures from our Christmas festivities. Merry Christmas!!

Birthday Girl
On November 21, Josie turned 1 year old! We can't believe how quickly this year flew and how much she has grown!
To celebrate, we just had a family dinner at our house on Saturday with Ryan's family (we will celebrate with my family while we are in NC for Thanksgiving). We had soup and grilled cheese, Josie's faves, and cupcakes!
Josie was spoiled with all of the gifts and attention!

This is the first time I have had made-from-scratch cake and frosting turn out well at the same time!

Baby Peacock
We celebrated our first Halloween with Josie this weekend. She had no clue what was going on, but she enjoyed it anyway! We carved our Jack-O-Lantern on Saturday, and then got her dressed up in her peacock costume and took her trick-or-treating on Sunday. We just stopped by a few homes of people we knew...and then we hit a few other homes with Josie's friend, Brynn. Josie favorite part was seeing a dog dressed up as Superman!

Halloween Babies
Josie had a few friends over today to show off Halloween costumes. They had fun, enjoyed a few treats, and (barely) posed for some pictures!
